The city's top comedy spot, with a different act on every night and some of the UK's top comics headlining at the weekends. The bar is worth a visit in itself. Traverse Theatre, 10 Cambridge Street Phone 0131 228 1404. Unquestionably one of Britain's premier venues for new plays and avant-garde drama from around the world.
