Official Loch Ness Monster Exhibition Centre (17 km) - A fascinating and popular multi-media presentation lasting 30 minutes. Seven themed areas cover the story from the pre-history of Scotland, through the cultural roots of the legend in Highland folklore, and into the 50-year controversy which surrounds it.
Urquhart Castle (19 km) - The castle was once Scotland's biggest and overlooks Loch Ness. It dates mainly from the 14th century, when it was built on the site of an earlier fort, and was destroyed before the 1715 Jacobite rebellion.
Moniack Castle (Highland Winery) (4 km) - A wide range of `country'-style wines is produced, including elderflower and silver birch; mead and sloe gin, are also made here. A selection of related products are available and tours show how The wines and preserves are made from natural ingredients local to the area.
Highland Museum of Childhood (12 km) - Located in a renovated Victorian railway station of 1885, the Highland Museum of childhood tells the story of childhood in the Highlands amongst the crofters and townsfolk; a way of life recorded in oral testimony, displays, evocative photographs and an award-winning video display

A regular coach service links Inverness with the rest of Britain and car hire is available in Inverness and Dingwall. By Rail: Inter-city trains operate day and night to Inverness, where a regular coach service or car hire can be obtained. By Air: Daily scheduled flights to Inverness Airport bring The Priory Hotel close to London, Glasgow and everywhere else.
