Kaimes Guest House is a Victorian Building, situated 15 minutes walking distance from Edinburgh city centre. We are close to the King's Theatre, Usher Hall, Edinburgh Castle and the famous shopping centre, Prince's Street. We are ideally situated for you to see the sights of Edinburgh or enjoy the many clubs, pubs and restaurants that Scotland's capital has to offer. Here at Kaimes Guest House, you can be assured of quality accommodation combined with excellent service. The International Conference Centre is only a 5 minute walk from our guesthouse. We have 12 rooms which is a mix of family rooms, double rooms, single rooms and twin rooms. All rooms are beautifully decorated and most of them are en suite. All rooms have tea and coffee facilities, colour tv, hairdryer, shaver points, and iron on request. We offer a choice of a full cooked or continental breakfast. We have an excellent bus service, which runs directly outside from the guesthouse and takes you to most of the major attractions E.G. The Edinburgh Castle, Museums, The National Galleries, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile.

Royal Museum - This magnificent museum houses extensive international collections covering the Decorative Arts, Natural History, Science, Technology and Working Life, and Geology. Temporary exhibitions, films, lectures and concerts take place throughout the year.
Museum of Scotland - The museum is a striking new landmark in Edinburgh's historic Old Town. It houses more than 10,000 of the nation's most precious artefacts, as well as everyday objects which throw light on life in Scotland through the ages.
Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh - Established in 1670, on an area the size of a tennis court, the Garden is now over 70 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Spectacular features include the Rock Garden and the Chinese Hillside. The amazing glasshouses feature Britain's tallest palm house
Edinburgh Zoo - Scotland's largest wildlife attraction, set in 80 acres of leafy hillside parkland, just ten minutes from the city centre. With over 1,000 animals ranging from the tiny poison arrow frog to massive white rhinos, including many threatened species.

Directions
From Centre - From Prince's Street (garden side), take Lothian Bus No. 10 to Gilmore Place, which becomes Granville Terrace (please note that change is not given on Lothian Bus services). By bus - From Prince's Street (garden side), take Lothian Bus No. 10 to Gilmore Place, which becomes Granville Terrace (please note that change is not given on Lothian Bus services). By air - From Edinburgh Airport, take the airport bus to the city centre and get off at the west end of Prince's Street, opposite the Caledonian Hotel. Cross to the other side of Prince's Street (garden side) and take Lothian Bus No. 10 to Gilmore Place, which then joins Granville Terrace (please note that change is not given on Lothian Bus services). Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Edinburgh Airport to Granville Terrace. By rail - From Waverley Train Station, go onto Prince's Street. Remain on the same side as Prince's Street Gardens and take Lothian Bus No. 10 to Gilmore Place, which becomes Granville Terrace (please note that change is not given on Lothian bus services).
