Culloden Battlefield (8 km) - A cairn recalls this last battle fought on mainland Britain, on 16 April 1746, when the Duke of Cumberland's forces routed "Bonnie" Prince Charles Edward Stuart's army. The battlefield has been restored to its state on the day of the battle
Clava Cairns (9 km) - A well-preserved Bronze Age cemetery complex of passage graves, ring cairns, kerb cairn and standing stones in a beautiful setting. In addition, the remains of a chapel of unknown date can be seen at this site.
