From South M6/A74 From the A74 take the A702 at ABINGTON Services through BIGGAR which will bring you on to the A720 City Bypass. Go round both roundabouts and join the Bypass where signposted "Edinburgh South & East". Leave the Bypass at the first junction marked "Straiton Junction", join the A701 and follow the signs for City Centre. After 2.5 miles (4 km) you will come to a large traffic lights junction go straight over on to Craigmillar Park. Half a mile further on you will see "Barony House" on the right. From South M1 Take the A68 from Scotch Corner, through Jedburgh and Dalkeith. After Dalkeith the road will merge with the A7 where you follow the City Centre signs. When nearing the City Centre you will approach a large roundabout under a rail bridge. Take the 2nd exit ("City Centre A701" "Newington") and then turn right onto Craigmillar Park. Half a mile further on you will see "Barony House" on the right. ALTERNATIVELY: Take the A1 round the coastal route and join the A720 City Bypass as you approach the city. Leave the Bypass at the first junction (Sheriffhall Roundabout) and join the A7 signposted Edinburgh where it merges with the A68. Then as above. From Glasgow The M8 Motorway now terminates at a roundabout known as the "Edinburgh Interchange". On the roundabout take the third exit signposted "Edinburgh South & East" and join the A720 City Bypass. Continue on the bypass until Straiton junction, leave the bypass and join the A701 as for M6 traffic. From North M90 Follow signs for City Centre, Princes Street, Berwick Upon Tweed A1 & East which will take you along Queen Street. Go right at the roundabout ("All other routes") and up Leith Street, keeping John Lewis on your right. Go straight on at the the traffic lights and left on to North Bridge, keeping the New Balmoral Hotel on your right. Continue straight on until the road becomes Minto Street then Mayfield Gardens. We are number 23, on the left. ALTERNATIVELY: follow the signs for City Bypass and proceed as for Glasgow arrivals. (This route, although slightly longer, avoids all city confusion). From Edinburgh Airport Follow the A8 trunk road to the "Edinburgh Interchange". Follow signs for A720 Berwick and South then continue as above (from Glasgow). By Rail Exit from Waverley Station by road entrance turning right up on to Princes Street. Cross over to the shops side for buses numbered 3, 31, 69 or 80 travelling East. Bus will immediately turn right on to North Bridge. Travel along the main route until shops finish and Hotels/Guest Houses commence. Exit on Mayfield Gardens outside the The Glenfield House Hotel. We are next door. Bus journeys should take around 10 minutes
